Cooking.com was founded in 1998. The company was started by several of us that had worked together at The Disney Store in Glendale, CA. We all enjoyed the business of retail and were excited about the opportunities the internet created. Also, we all had a passion for creating a great company.
How did we pick Cooking? The credit goes to one of our initial investors, idealab! They teamed us up with a cookbook publisher, and we had the perfect blend of cooking and retail knowledge to launch the best cooking website.
A lot has changed with e-commerce from 1998 to today. However, we successfully rode the internet bubble and survived the burst, pleased to have helped millions of customers along the way. Through the years we've maintained the integrity of our company and stayed true to our goals: Offer a complete assortment of products, including every top brand.
